Cricket Academy Admission Guide 2026: What Parents Should Look For

September 4, 2026 · by Ajeet Singh

Admission season can be confusing for parents exploring cricket academies for the first time. Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to what the process usually involves — and what to check along the way.

Most academies begin with a short trial or assessment session, where coaches observe a child’s current skill level, fitness and attitude toward learning. This isn’t about rejecting beginners — it’s mainly to place each player in the right batch.

Ask about batch timings and group sizes upfront, and make sure they realistically fit your family’s schedule — consistency matters far more than occasional intense sessions.

Understand the fee structure clearly: what’s included (kit, ground fees, tournament costs) and what’s charged separately, so there are no surprises later.

It’s worth asking to observe a live session before enrolling. This gives a much better sense of coaching quality and ground conditions than a brochure or a phone call ever can.

Finally, ask about the academy’s approach to progress tracking — how (and how often) they communicate a child’s development to parents.

At Ajeet Singh Cricket Academy in Agra, admissions are open across all our programs, and we’re always happy to have prospective students and parents visit, watch a session, and ask any questions before enrolling.
